What a wonderful time!

Silver Dollar City doesn't disappoint

What a fun time at Silver Dollar City! I enjoyed everything, but especially walking around and spending time with family. The after party at our house was fun too and we're glad you all could come. Do you have some favorite photos from the trip to share? If so, send them my way and I'll get a gallery up.

Furthermore, a couple of us are working on getting a Silver Dollar City fan website up. If you have ideas or would like to work on the project, just email me. It will be a fun project that I hope everyone will enjoy. What would you like to see in this type of website? Let me know in the comments.

Weather Outlook

If averages stick, we should see highs in the mid 40s

A quick look ahead at Weather Underground shows an average of 45 degrees. However, the 27th, the latest day with a forecast, is showing the temperature maxing out at 38.

Weather.com paints a rosier picture predicting a high of 47 on Tuesday.

Christmas in Branson

Planning is underway

We are talking about Christmas in Branson. We plan to bring games, etc. for fun, other ideas are welcome. Silver Dollar City will be open each day from 1pm to 9pm and the culinary class will be at 1:30. Please let us know if you're interested in attending.

As for food, it will be far cheaper if we eat sandwiches for lunch each day. For dinner, we'll eat in SDC. The restaurants we know people will want to eat at are the Mill restaurant (special service table), the Mine restaurant (special service), spaghetti bowl place, food from the stands like the skillet dinners, Big Jack's Sandwich shop, and Aunt Polly's among others. What restaurants would you like to eat at?

During the mornings, we're thinking of going shopping at the malls. We may even not go to SDC one of the days for a break. Stores people are interested in going to are Easy Spirit, bookstores, Carter's, the kitchen stores, VF Outlet, Van Heusen, Corning Ware, Pyrex, Country Home type stores, Reebok, and Starbucks. What stores are you looking for?

The schedule will be full of fun. Right now, we're planning on having Tyler's birthday on the 27th. On the 28th, we'll have our family Christmas in the morning. The rest of this event listing is on hold for now.

Be thinking about various attractions you'd like to see and tell us about it in the comments.

Prep and Landing Returns!

There will be at least two new episodes of Prep & Landing, one this year and one next. I had heard that this might be their plan, that they would then release all the 30 minute shows as a DVD set at some point in time. How cool would that be!?
